Actually we went kayaking ages ago, but i've only just gotten the pictures. Ehehe.
And before i forget, all pictures are courtesy of uncle Francis Ho :) you can check out his blog here.
It was on the 27th of December i think that my family together with my cousin's family went kayaking somewhere faraway. Like in a kampungy area where there is a river.. I'm not sure exactly where it is cause i have no sense of direction and i'm one of those people who just sit in the car and get out when we reach our destination, not bothering what happens in between. =P
So anyway my dad's colleague, uncle Francis - or Mr. Francis, but i call him uncle lah - picked us up from my home and drove us to the kampungy river place. And we had a sort of briefing before we started so we would know what to do later on.

That's my daddy with the funny bag. He likes doing things weirdly. =P

All of us trying out the paddle things. If you look closely you can see my dad looking a little funny. According to him, he was practising his paddling and he was actually ''moving forward"..-_-""
After that we got into the water lah, but first we had to pose for a picture...

All of us : Bryan, Rach, Mau, uncle Francis, daddy, mummy, Azmi(the guide and expert), aunty Ann, uncle Basil and me.
Then we had to pair up cause the kayak only fits two people. Uncle Basil and aunty Ann immediately chose the experts lah, uncle Francis and the Azmi fella. I got Maurice, Rach was with Bryan and my dad was with my mum.

We were kinda confused at first, cause it took time getting used to the paddling and all, and we kept going the wrong way but after awhile we got the hang of it. It was kinda fun to paddle, but it was really tiring, so i left most of the work to Maurice. =)
My daddy's idea on what kayaking is like :

Yeah. Laying back and letting my poor mum do all the work. -__-
He did try paddling while he was still lying down...

But then decided it wasn't worth all that work, so...

Halfway through our little adventure, we saw little figs bobbing in the water, so after awhile Bryan, Rachel, Mau and i started racing to get as many figs as we could :) We were being so competitive until it came to a point where we started snatching figs out of each other's kayaks.
UNFORTUNATELY....!
When Bryan and Rachel were enthusiastically snatching figs from me and Mau, they didn't see where they were paddling and before they knew it they were inches away from some overhanging bamboo plant thingy! So they leaned over to avoid it, and since Mau and i were right next to them, we leaned over to avoid them. And as a result, everyone capsized! Hahaha! It was pretty scary at that time larh, cause we were trapped under the kayak for awhile and we couldn't breathe, but now that it's all over it seemed pretty fun.

All wet!

Yeh. that's me with one of my slippers, and one of Mau's. We all lost our slippers when the kayaks capsized, except Maurice cause the silly cow's slipper's got caught in the strap of the kayak. Unfair. And and and I LOST MY ARMY CAP!!
Owh wells... They managed to find both of Rachel's slippers in the end but me and Bryan only got one side of ours. Lol.
After that not many interesting things happened lah, but the scenery was really nice and everything. Actually lots of interesting things happened, i'm just too lazy to write about them. So here are some random pictures and i'll put down their captions. Figure out the rest from there.

Happy mummy with a funny-looking object.

That little clump of adults there were talking about my spine problem :)

Some rock formation thingy. Nice right??

Maurice called that mountain 'beng-beng mountain'. Hahaha! I think only people related to me on my dad's side will get the joke =)

Maurice and some hanging branch-like roots. See how skinny Maurice is; his legs look like one of the branch-roots.

My dad looks funky here.

a BIIIG rock thing.

At the end of our journey.
Hahah! Something silly happened at the end. Uncle Francis told us to specifically paddle to the side so that we wouldn't get carried away by the current cause if we did we would float all the way down to water front probably. Hahaha. But my dad wasn't listening i think. So he and my mum floated off pass the docking point, and uncle yelled at them to jump off the kayak. But my dad being all blurr didn't do it at first. I think he thought uncle was joking. Then he realised he WAS supposed to jump off and he grabbed my mum and jumped and the kayak capsized all over again! So Azmi and another guy had to go after the kayak! Which had all my family's I.C.'s in it. Lol. Fun fun..
So that was it i guess. My cap is gone. One side of my NEW IPANEMA FLIP FLOPS are gone so i have to wear my sports shoes everywhere now. Too lazy to buy new slippers. =P But it was worth it i think cos it was fun!! Yeh. Hope i can do it again soon!
